Circa 1973. Left abandoned in an old barn for over 30 years, waiting to come home to me. Can’t stop staring and named her Buttercup ’cause she’s so sawww-weet! All I need is a basket and a bell to boot and my life will be complete.
She’s the best wedding gift – ever. Farmer’s market….here we come!
Oh, I have a serious case of bicycle envy. Gorgeous.
OOOooooo. The line… the color. Extraordinary!
A match made in heaven.

What beautiful pictures! I am so jealous, I want one!
I’m so jealous! Just as cute as can possibly be.
Sweet ride:) You’re so lucky.
wooohoo! get that basket and bell quick, because that’s a hot bicycle!!
What a cute bike and lovely photographs of her! It conjures up fabulous images of traditional style shopping at a farmers market. I’m so jealous, our farmers markets are only really just taking off here in NZ but we do now have a budding French market that I will be visiting on Saturday if the rain holds off. Alas not riding is such style as yourself.
beautiful color tones and perspectives! we actually used to sell at the fremont sunday market!
Nice bike…and great pictures as well :-)
That’s what I want! Lucky girl!
Awww…I love a vintage bike!

i know, i couldn’t believe someone would abandon such a gem!
So lovely + great photos!
What a beautiful bike!
Love your sweet bike! It’s adorable. I have a beach cruiser but it’s sure not as cute as yours. I’m so happy that I stumbled upon your blog- I’m enjoying reading back through all your posts. Cheers!
A lovely bike! and in case you were not already aware – babyseats fit perfectly on it. Basket in the front, babyseat in the back……sorry i just could not resist…
p.s. i know cause in 1973 my mom bought this exact bike (same color and everything!) to cart me around.

kev – i can’t believe your mom had the same bike! i’m allergic to babyseats. ;)
The pictures are gorgeous! Not ordinary ones. And the bike looks so nostalgic like a classic. I used to go to school by my bicycle, now I miss those days.
How fun, what a beauty!! Gorgeous photography ;)
Just adorable!
This is great- I love the color! I am so glad to have been led here, as I am enjoying all your posts!
So much fun. My hubby just restored a Peugeot for his brother and I have to say I love the retro look. Your bike looks perfect!
I just found you on foodbuzz, and I am already addicted to another foodie blog! Your photos are amazing. Do you have a photography background or did you self-teach? I am just starting to play with my husband’s Rebel xti. Can’t wait to search your blog more! =) Cheers!

Yay! I still use my mom’s bike from college – it’s 7 years older than me :)
The bike is adorable! I think it’ll be a hit everywhere.
must be so fun to ride. it’s wonderfully retro.
I HAD ONE! Love your site. Only recently discovered it & now I’m going through your archives. When I came upon this post, it brought back memories of my own beautiful Schwinn! Nice. Happy riding. And thank you for all of the beautiful posts.
I have that same exact bike! And I found it in s similar way too, my fiance and I were at an estate sale and there was 3 of them stashed away in the back of his garage, they looked like they hadn’t seen day light in 30 years! We took all home for $20. I have the green one. The other two were blue and orange. It even still has the original tires! Love these kinds of memories, enjoy taking it to the market!
